Our client offers their services across Jersey and Guernsey with turnover of Β£25m. Following transition of transactional work into a UK financial shared service centre (FSSC), financial expertise is required on the Islands to build robust financial processes and controls for all activities retained on the Islands and ensure adherence to all financial compliance requirements as well as budgeting and forecasting activities.
The role will be based in St Helier, Jersey with travel to Guernsey as required.
Main purpose of the role:
β To work with FSSC and local operational management to ensure there is a robust financial control environment for CI with specific focus on stock management, revenue and cost cut off, and ad hoc transactions taking place outside of core transactional processes at FSSC.
β Ensure adherence to all external, Regional and Group financial compliance processes with specific focus on Group financial controls and balance sheet reconciliations.
β Challenge robustness and timeliness of operational information that informs financial reporting e.g. WIP, accrued income, stock takes etc.
β Work with Operational Director and Heads of Departments to understand and control costs to improve the financial performance of the business streams
β Lead on FP&A in the business β Annual Budget and monthly Rolling Forecast.
β Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations eg tax filings, statutory accounts
