This is a great opportunity for a driven and talented individual to make a real difference as part of our clients senior leadership team in Jersey. The Executive Director will have a particular focus on the Fund Accounting service line, working with the wider Executive team to run the day-to-day operations of the business. The successful candidate will also be required to act as a director on the boards of internal corporate entities.

This position is best suited to a commercial, solutions driven, yet technically minded person who enjoys leading a team of professionals, maintaining strong client and business relationships and is motivated by the challenge of providing technical and operational solutions to the business and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing Key Client Relationships: Maintain and develop strong, lasting relationships with certain key clients, with regular in-person client meetings at partner level. Ensure client engagements are on budget, review and monitor key deliverables, review and submit recommendations for improving client profitability and identify new products or billing opportunities on existing clients.
  • Assisting with the internal operations: Proficiently recruit employees and manage staffing levels within the business, provide effective leadership and management of Jersey employees (including workload planning and performance management where needed), participate in monthly senior management meetings and act as an Authorised Signatory for the client and client entities.
  • Risk: Participate in the business risk committee, liaising with the JFSC and other regulatory bodies, monitor the requirements of the JFSC and ensure the business infrastructure complies and maintain the appropriate balance between mitigating the risks of the business and expanding the business.
  • Business development, marketing and new business: Conduct business development activities, review existing / develop new BD capabilities including training, materials, sales meetings, tracking and follow-ups, prepare proposals / quotes and supporting information for the take on of new clients and provide support to the new business process, working closely with our clients head office in London.
Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant.
  • Well established and extensive industry experience (PE and RE), with an understanding of company secretarial and cash management processes and systems.
  • Ability to effectively plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and to meet agreed operational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Ability to lead on numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter who can focus on execution and problem solving.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, collaborative and team-based approach.
  • Confident and proactive approach and professional attitude to work.
  • Highly organised with good time management and planning skills.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of the Funds sector in Jersey including corporate governance, including conduct at board meetings and directorship responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with how promoters run their businesses would be an advantage.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, new business presentations and internal procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, senior management and clients.
