Vention is a global engineering partner to tech leaders and fastâgrowing startups, combining 20+ years of product development expertise with an AIâfirst approach and a reputation for reliable delivery. Now we're expanding our London office and hiring a Sales Development Representative. In this position, you will play a key role in expanding our UK business by identifying and generating new business opportunities through proactive outbound outreach.
Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, engaging with founders, CTOs, engineering leaders, and other key decision-makers across a diverse range of companies, from innovative startups to established Fortune 500 firms.
What youâll do:
- Proactively reach out to prospects via email, LinkedIn, phone, or other communication channels to generate meetings and opportunities.
- Attend top industry events and tech meetups to identify new sales and networking opportunities.
- Research and qualify leads by understanding their potential needs, pain points, and growth plans, ensuring alignment with Vention services and ideal client profile.
- Experiment with and develop new approaches to lead generation, finding innovative ways to engage prospects and uncover new business opportunities.
- Accurately track and manage lead information and activities using the company CRM system.
- Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs, including number of leads generated, meetings booked, and opportunities generated.
What you bring:
- 2+ years B2B experience in an SDR, business development, or sales focused role.
- Familiar with software development technologies and processes.
- Experience building creative outbound lead generation campaigns.
- Proven track record in cold calling and email outreach.
- Consultative and solution selling experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage and build rapport quickly.
