The Southern Regional Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and growing Ventilux’s presence across the assigned region by building long-term, trusted relationships with key stakeholders and identifying project opportunities at the earliest possible stage. The primary focus is on proactive business development and account management, early project intelligence, and pipeline creation, supported by a strong understanding of Ventilux products and solutions to ensure sustainable, profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building & Market Engagement
    • Proactively build and maintain professional relationships with consultant engineers, M&E contractors, developers, end users, and other key decision-makers within the region.
    • Establish Ventilux as a trusted advisor and solution provider, not just a product supplier.
    • Regularly engage the market to understand what projects are coming up, timelines, and decision-making processes, ensuring Ventilux is involved early in the specification stage.
    • Maintain a visible and professional presence within the industry, including LinkedIn and face-to-face engagement.
  • Business Development & Pipeline Creation
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, project tracking, and direct engagement with stakeholders.
    • Generate and manage a strong pipeline of future opportunities, from early-stage project awareness through to tender and delivery.
    • Promote Ventilux’s CPD seminars to consultant engineers and contractors as a relationship-building and specification tool.
    • Identify opportunities where Ventilux can add value through bespoke solutions, technical support, and service offerings.
  • Specification & Sales Growth
    • Drive the specification of Ventilux emergency lighting solutions by engaging with project teams early in the design phase.
    • Create opportunities for Ventilux products to be included at the tender stage and beyond.
    • Manage the sales region to ensure consistent and profitable revenue growth in line with agreed objectives.
    • Actively identify opportunities to move from product supply to solution-based consultative selling.
  • Internal Collaboration & Project Support
    • Work closely with the Sales Office, Project Team, and Service Team to ensure customer requests for information, designs, quotations, and submissions are handled efficiently.
    • Ensure project scope documents are completed accurately before quotation requests are passed internally.
    • Maintain communication with customers throughout the order, design, and installation process to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Customer Experience & Feedback
    • Maintain a consistently high level of customer service across all stages of the sales and project lifecycle.
    • Follow up with customers on completion of projects to ensure satisfaction with Ventilux products and services.
    • Gather project testimonials and feedback and share them with the Marketing Team.
    • Provide regular competitor, market, and product feedback to the Sales Manager.

    • Maintain the Project Pipeline.
    • Update and maintain a contact database.
    • Record and provide Customer Feedback on Ventilux products and services.
