Ventilation Surveys & Services Ltd has 25 years of industry experience and knowledge. We specialise in ductwork cleaning and remediation projects, ventilation hygiene surveys, fire door inspections, fire damper maintenance, testing of local exhaust ventilation systems (LEV) and air conditioning. All certified training, uniform and equipment is provided.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Any additional weekend working is paid overtime as required. Extensive travel and stay away from home is a requirement. Core shifts are Monday to Friday, which is a mix of both day and night works & occasionally weekends at times.

IMPORTANT: This role will require you to work in Belfast (Northern Ireland) Monday to Friday for large periods of time, with all travel and accommodation paid for.

Main Duties:

  • We are looking for an experienced Duct Fitter with ventilation installation experience who is also multiskilled to assist with ADHOC duties.
  • The individual needs to be self-sufficient in completing duct work and general building tasks.
  • The ideal person would be adaptable, understands the needs of a project, and is fully competent.
  • Experience with the installation and remediation of fire dampers would be preferable.
  • Competent working from mechanical drawings.
  • Good understanding of HVAC, Fire Damper and Kitchen Extract Systems.
  • Ability to provide accurate technical hand drawn schematics and measurements.
  • Installation of ductwork, fire dampers and fan units of all types.
  • CSCS card.
  • Installation of Spiral, rectangular and square duct work.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety measures & procedures.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with decision making and lone-working.
  • Driving Licence.
  • High level of numeracy and literacy IT skills.

Desirable: NVQ in duct installation. If this is not currently held, we will invest in this qualification for you after your successful 3 month probation period. Experience with ductwork leakage testing.
