An exciting opportunity for a Fitter to join our fun, collaborative, and hardworking Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Edinburgh just north of Adelaide SA. This is an opportunity to join Ventia in a role which provides a corridor for a great lifestyle outside of work!
About the role
As a Mechanical Fitter you will use your highly detailed workmanship to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware. As a qualified Fitter and Armourer or Fitter and Turner, it will be your responsibility to provide direct embedded support and teamwork with Defence and Defence training activities to ensure hardware is functional and training objectives are achieved.
- Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments
- Safely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required parts
- Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose
- Provide occasional support to various Defence Bases across the state assisting with Armory maintenance. All travel, accommodation and Food paid for!
About you
- Possess a Trade Certificate III Mechanical Fitting
- Hold valid Australian Driver’s License
- MR of HR License – Desirable
- Physically fit and enjoy hands-on work
- You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
