Role Description: A senior engineer is required to replace a leaver to offer continued support to the work of the Onshore teams based out of our Edinburgh Office. To maintain our in-house expertise, we are looking for a hands-on civil/environmental engineer who can collaborate effectively with fellow team members and support our project delivery works providing high quality technical input. It is expected that you will provide technical support to tenders and that you will support and mentor the career development of junior engineers. A senior engineer is expected to have a key role in business development and in managing technical projects across our engineering offering.
Key responsibilities will also include:
- Managing the delivery of Projects including reporting, client liaison, budgetary control, tracking project finances and team coordination
- Technical Report Writing
- Producing and overseeing the production of:
- Design drawings
- Design detailing
- Specifications
- Bills of quantity
- Contract Documents
- Tender Assessments
- CDM documentation
Expertise required:
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- IT literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project
- Experience of AutoCAD 3D civils
- Working knowledge and understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations
- A full clean driver’s licence.
Education/ Qualifications:
- Hold a University Degree in civil engineering
- The candidate should be chartered or working towards chartered status in a clearly defined timescale
