What You'll Do:
- Technical Support: Be the go-to expert for technical queries - phone, email, remote login and CRM.
- Troubleshoot hardware, controls, and systems - especially in smoke ventilation, BMS or fire safety installs.
- Translate complex issues into clear, practical guidance for installers and end-users.
- Support field engineers when they need backup, guidance, or verification.
Continuous Improvement:
- Spot recurring issues and flag them for engineering or product review. Your insight will directly influence product design and future features.
- Build internal knowledge bases and contribute to training and tools.
- Keep meticulous records of issues, fixes, and escalations.
What You Bring:
Essential:
- Proven experience in technical support, helpdesk or remote engineer roles.
- Strong IT, systems, and fault-finding knowledge (hardware/software).
- Confident communicator - calm under pressure, clear under stress.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote access tools, and CRMs.
- Electrically competent - able to read wiring schematics and system layouts.
Preferred:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience with smoke control, HVAC, fire safety systems, or BMS.
- Background in install, commissioning, or service.
- Knowledge of PAT, RAMS, and compliance requirements.
