Vent-Axia, part of Volution Group plc, improves the indoor environment by providing ventilation solutions across Commercial and Industrial buildings.

This is a fast-paced, solution-driven role and requires the successful candidate to identify and develop opportunities with mechanical consultancies, contractors, and industrial distributors to increase Vent-Axia sales across commercial and industrial projects. The primary objective is to maximize revenue within the designated territory. The individual must be confident engaging both prospective and existing customers through calls, emails, social media, and face-to-face meetings, providing technical sales presentations, product selections, technical support, quotations, and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day responsibilities will include approximately 12 customer appointments per week with mechanical contractors, consultancies, and industrial distributors.
  • Conducting project meetings, delivering technical presentations and CPDs.
  • Identifying new business opportunities.
  • Customer entertainment.
  • Technical support, product selections, and quotation generation.
  • Tracking year-on-year account spend and performance, sharing insights with Sales Leaders.
  • Collaborating with Distribution, Social Housing, and Commercial & Industrial team members to share market intelligence and opportunities.
  • Ensuring customers receive regular product updates and new product release information.
  • Engage, influence, and build strong relationships with mechanical consultants, contractors, and distributors.
  • Understand customer needs through research, discovery, and qualification, and progress opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Managing opportunities, accounts, and activities through a CRM system or similar sales platform.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in technical sales, preferably within HVAC, ventilation, building services, M&E, construction, or a related industry.
  • Experience working with or selling to mechanical consultants, contractors, and distributors.
  • Technical knowledge of ventilation systems, building services, or related mechanical products.
  • Understanding of current building regulations and system design principles.
  • Commercially aware, personable, articulate, confident, with a strong team-oriented approach.
  • Technical aptitude is preferred; however, full training will be provided on product ranges, system design and selection, building regulations, and installation requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and determined to succeed.
  • Adaptable, professional, and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, CRM systems, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Driving license.
