LGV Driving Instructor

Venrec is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for Permanent LGV Driving Instructors/Trainers to join their expanding team based in Lyneham. Our client delivers training for both the MOD and the HGV Skills Bootcamp and is seeking experienced HGV Drivers/Instructors to train the next generation of truck drivers.

Skills and experience required:

• Held a Full C+E (Class 1) LGV Licence for over 2 years with no points or endorsements
• Passion for teaching with the ability to instruct drivers through Categories C (Class 2) and C+E (Class 1); previous instructing experience is preferred but not essential
• Positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of customer service

Role responsibilities:

This position primarily involves training for the MOD but may also include training for the HGV Skills Bootcamp.

MOD Training

• Deliver comprehensive driver training to armed forces personnel
• Instruct drivers through Categories C (Class 2) and C+E (Class 1)

HGV Skills Bootcamp

Providing all aspects of LGV training to new, returning, and upskilling drivers, including:

• Driver Training
• Tachograph Training
• Manual Handling Training
• Drivers\’ Hours Training

Salary and hours:

The salary for this position is up to GBP 28,250 + bonus.

The working hours are between 40 and 45 hours per week.
