About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our London-based team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable data pipelines and enabling data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping our data infrastructure using Microsoft’s suite of data tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.
- Implement and manage solutions using Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and Synapse Data Engineering.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure the availability, integrity, and security of enterprise data.
- Optimize data workflows and support data integration across various platforms.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data systems to ensure optimal performance.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Azure (Data services), Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Synapse Data Engineering.
- Proficient in SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Understanding of cloud data architecture and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience working in the insurance industry, particularly in the Lloyd’s of London market, is a strong plus.
