We are seeking a Data Analyst to support the development of a new Microsoft Fabric-based data platform and enhance our existing digital placing platform within the London Market insurance sector. You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Data Engineers, contributing to strategic projects that modernize data processes and improve business intelligence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interpret datasets supporting the London Market placement process.
  • Develop Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions alongside data and BI teams.
  • Implement and maintain data quality frameworks and standards.
  • Ensure data compliance with industry standards (e.g., ACORD).

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Reporting, Analytics, or Data Science projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft data technologies (Fabric, Azure Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with data quality, data lineage, or master data concepts is a plus.
  • At least 1 year’s experience in insurance or IT (preferably broking, underwriting operations, or market data standards).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Industry qualifications (CII or BCS) are desirable or willingness to pursue them.
