Interim Asset and Development Manager Based - South Coast, hybrid working

Length: 6 months

We are looking for an exceptional interim Asset & Development Manager to support the development and enhancement of the Council's Housing Assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards within the housing portfolio whilst identifying new housing development partnerships and managing innovative solutions to expand and improve the council's housing options.
  • Identifying and setting priorities for acquisition, new build, investment, regeneration and disposal to achieve optimum value.
  • The development and management of an asset management strategy, ensuring that housing assets are safe and continually improved to provide quality living conditions for residents.
  • Lead the delivery of affordable housing throughout the district, aligning with corporate priorities, including the acquisition and delivery of new council housing and utilising Housing Revenue Account (HRA) land-led development opportunities.
  • Provide an effective combination of technical expertise and leadership.

Key Requirements:

  • Bring extensive Housing Asset and Development experience in a regulated environment.
  • Hold a Qualification in RICS/ CIH / Construction or similar.
  • An experienced and resilient individual with vast Housing leadership experience.
  • Be tenant focused, adaptable and tenacious.
