Interim Head of Parking & Mobility Services

This role is responsible for leading and transforming parking and mobility services, ensuring the delivery of efficient, customer-focused and financially sustainable services that support the council's wider ambitions for communities, transport, public spaces and economic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction, development and performance of Parking & Mobility Services
- Act as the council's lead adviser on parking and mobility legislation, policy and best practice
- Develop and implement service strategies, policies and improvement programmes
- Ensure services remain compliant with all relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice
- Manage significant service budgets and ensure delivery of agreed financial targets and income generation objectives
- Oversee the delivery of parking operations, parking functions and school crossing patrol services
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and service transformation across the function
- Represent the council at regional and national parking and transport forums
Key Requirements:
- Experience of leading services across organisational boundaries and delivering positive organisational outcomes
- Proven success in developing and implementing service improvement plans, strategies and transformation programmes
- Experience managing large budgets and delivering financial performance targets
- Strong experience leading customer-focused services and driving service excellence
- Comprehensive knowledge of parking legislation and operations
- Sound knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and compliance requirements
