This is an exciting opportunity with a local authority, to influence organisation-wide change, helping create resident‑centred, preventative and place‑based services that work seamlessly across organisational and system boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the organisational development strategy to support the Council's transformation programme
  • Design leadership development that builds collaborative, digital and future‑focused leadership
  • Lead organisational change aligned to our transformation priorities: Reaction to Prevention, Complexity to Simplicity and Surviving to Thriving
  • Drive cultural change towards integrated, preventative and partnership‑based ways of working
  • Build organisational capability in place‑based working, digital skills and adaptive leadership
  • Embed new ways of working, clear accountability and lasting behavioural change
  • Lead change management and employee engagement initiatives that are inclusive and effective
  • Use organisational diagnostics and evaluation to measure impact and realise benefits
  • Provide expert organisational development advice to senior leaders and programme boards

Key Requirements

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Organisational Development, Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline
  • Professional accreditation in organisational development, coaching or change management (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience working within a Local Authority is desirable
  • Significant experience developing and delivering organisational development strategies within complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Experience using organisational diagnostics, evaluation, benefits realisation and impact measurement to demonstrate success
