Locum Information Governance Officer - Full Time - Remote Working - Up to £40 per hour umbrella
Venn Group's specialist Public Sector Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Information Governance Officer to join a reputable Local Authority on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and friendly team, providing key support across a range of data protection matters.
Role Details:
Position: Locum Information Governance Officer
Working Arrangement: Full-Time, fully remote working
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Up to £40 per hour umbrella
Duties may include:
- Manage and coordinate FOI and EIR requests, ensuring they are responded to within statutory timescales
- Liaise with departments and service managers to obtain relevant information and ensure timely responses
- Draft, review and issue responses to FOI and EIR requests
- Identify and apply relevant exemptions where appropriate
- Monitor outstanding requests, identify potential delays and proactively manage the caseload accordingly
- Support Senior Officers with wider data protection matters when required
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience working within Information Governance, preferably in a Local Government setting
- Strong working knowledge of Data Protection Legislation, FOI and SAR processes
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and provide clear and practical advice
