The Role
As a Residential Conveyancing Locum, you will support a well-established legal practice in Lancashire by managing a residential property caseload during a period of increased workload and ongoing team requirements. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running and provide high-quality conveyancing support from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
- Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Reviewing contracts, title documents and property searches
- Raising and responding to enquiries
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third-party solicitors
- Managing exchange, completion and post-completion matters
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Previous experience handling a residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner
- Previous locum or interim experience
- Familiarity with case management systems and remote working
