We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Head of Finance to lead the day-to-day finance function while providing high-quality financial insight and strategic support to the Senior Management Team. The successful Head of Finance will play a key role in enhancing financial systems, strengthening controls, and improving reporting processes, driving efficiency and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver quarterly management accounts, annual budgets and forecasts including variance analysis and financial insight
- Work closely with the senior management team to monitor financial performance, manage expenditure, and improve financial accountability
- Complete reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Calculate annual rents and service charges
- Monitor capital expenditure and support financial planning and control for significant investment programmes
- Produce year-end statutory accounts and supporting information for the external audit, maintaining high standards of financial governance
- Manage and support one member of staff
Skills and abilities:
- Comfortable working in a small organisation where you will need to be both strategic and hands-on
- Housing sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Experience of integrating finance systems
