The Role

An established law firm is looking for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer to join its team.

You will manage a varied residential property caseload independently, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, new-build and shared ownership matters.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or experienced Residential Conveyancer.
  • 10+ years' PQE or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
  • Strong experience with complex and high-value transactions.
  • Excellent client care, communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong technical, drafting and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff desirable.
  • Commercially aware with an interest in business development.ll also involve handling complex and high-value transactions, supporting junior team members and contributing to client development and business development activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
  • Handle complex and high-value transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documentation.
  • Deal with land registration and post-completion requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and professional requirements.
  • Meet agreed billing and performance targets.
