A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Principal Prosecutions Lawyer to join a Midlands Local Authority.
This role would suit an individual with substantial prosecutions experience within local government and a proven background in leading and managing legal teams.
Duties may include:
- Oversee and provide legal supervision across a broad range of Prosecutions matters, including Environmental Crime, Trading Standards, Licensing and Education-related offences such as Irregular Attendance.
- Lead and support a team of Solicitors and Paralegals, providing technical guidance, mentoring and quality assurance on complex and sensitive matters.
- Advise clients across various Local Authority departments, ensuring the delivery of pragmatic, high-quality legal advice and effective case management.
- Review and allocate work across the team, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently, service standards are met, and legal risks are appropriately managed.
- Support the strategic development and day-to-day management of the team, making this an ideal opportunity for a confident legal manager with strong leadership experience.
