A Council is looking for an experienced and energetic Festival Lead Producer to lead the creative and practical delivery of an ambitious community festival. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced outdoor events professional to shape a major London festival featuring live music, youth and community programming, children's activities, sport, entertainment, food, traders and much more.
Key Responsibilities
- Curating and delivering the festival programme
- Managing an Assistant Producer
- Managing the appointed production company and key suppliers
- Developing and managing budgets in excess of £150,000
- Commissioning and contracting artists
- Fundraising, sponsorship and income generation
- Managing community, voluntary sector and business participation
- Coordinating multiple stakeholders and partners
- Supporting marketing and communications
- Managing procurement, contracts and purchase orders
- Ensuring delivery is on time, on budget and to a high standard
- Leading post-event evaluation and financial close-down
Key Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience producing complex or outdoor events
- Experience managing £150k+ budgets and contracts
- Experience working with local authorities, public sector organisations or similar partners
- Experience commissioning and managing artists
- Experience of community-focused or culturally diverse programming
Working Pattern
- 3 days per week: October/November
- 4 days per week: December-April
- 5 days per week: May-June and festival delivery
- Post-event: approximately 6 days for wrap-up
