We are recruiting Bank Study Physicians in London, available for evening and weekend shifts. You will provide screening and assessment of subjects, ensuring all procedures are conducted per protocol, SOPs, ICH GCP, and GMC requirements. Please note, our work involves respiratory viruses, including Covid-19. Your health and safety, as well as that of your family, are considerations in the interview process.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
- Clinical Procedures
- Perform clinical procedures within your competence and protocol requirements.
- Supervise and review procedures performed by other staff for eligibility and condition changes.
- Conduct informed consent procedures maintaining ICH GCP standards.
- Provide clinical support and expertise to staff.
- Identify areas for service improvement and collaborate with seniors.
- Assist in staffing and scheduling with the Senior Study Physician or Sub-Investigator.
- Review and contribute to study protocols for feasibility.
- Attend study-specific training.
- Record subject information accurately in source documentation and CRFs.
- Ensure informed consent is obtained and documented.
- Verify subject eligibility and collect medical histories.
- Update tracking forms and databases.
- Maintain professional boundaries.
- Coordinate with teams to meet sample and timeline requirements.
- Ensure safe discharge and communicate with subjects' GPs.
- Escalate medical issues promptly.
- Provide out-of-hours emergency cover as needed.
Skills & Experiences
- Full GMC registration.
- Medical Degree.
- Current ALS certification.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience within the UK healthcare system.
- Phlebotomy and cannulation skills.
- Experience in internal medicine, general practice, A&E, respiratory medicine, or infectious disease.
