An NHS organisation in the South of England is looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join for 6 months. The successful candidate will have experience in Employee Relations with a particular focus on sickness absence, to work through reducing short and long-term sickness absence cases at the Trust.
Rate: £24.23 Umbrella per hour
Contract length: 6 months initially
Location: Sussex – hybrid, likely 3 days on site
Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week
Essential criteria:
- Extensive experience in employee relations, ideally within the NHS
- Sickness absence management
Desirable criteria:
- Previous experience of working in an NHS organisation, or the wider Public Sector
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide professional and complex advice and support to managers in absence management procedures, ensuring that problems are identified and resolved quickly, effectively and fairly
- Manage a caseload of complex employee relations cases in an advisory capacity ensuring they are handled appropriately and in a timely manner
- Attend formal employee relations meetings as appropriate and advise managers on documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy and best practice
- Advise managers and staff on the interpretation and application of terms and conditions of service and contractual issues
