Working closely with colleagues in the Data Warehousing and other Digital & Information teams, the post holder will be expected to take a leading role in the analysis, design, and development of both standard as well as ad-hoc data warehousing packages for the provision of data for reports, dashboards, downstream systems, and for data migration purposes. As an expert in the field of Trust data, data validation, ETL mechanisms, and data provision, the post-holder will also be expected to provide leadership and mentoring for less experienced colleagues. They will also be expected to help with the development and maintenance of standards, procedures, and best practice guides, also where this may concern the potential adoption of new technologies in the team. Your work will be varied and interesting, encompassing e.g. the investigation of acquiring potential new datasets from various clinical systems into the Trust data warehouse, building new data pipelines, ongoing monitoring of existing packages, providing architectural and strategic advice, etc. At least 3 years’ experience of working in a similar role within the NHS and with NHS data sets At least 3 years’ experience of software development within a structured environment Expert knowledge of and experience in the use of SQLServer databases and SQL/TSQL At least 2 years’ experience in the use of SSIS Experience in requirements gathering, so…
