Job responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the administration of all public and internal examinations throughout the academic year
- Ensure compliance with awarding body regulations and maintain the integrity and security of all examination processes
- Process exam entries, transmit data electronically to exam boards, and verify accuracy
- Prepare and distribute exam timetables and invigilation schedules for mock and public exams
- Organise and attend results days, handling queries, re-mark requests, and liaising with exam boards
- Monitor and manage the examinations budget effectively
- Communicate exam-related information clearly to staff, students, and parents
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting
Candidate profile
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, students, parents, and external bodies
- Proficient in ICT systems, including Word, Excel, and email; knowledge of SIMS or willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and remain calm under pressure
- Experience in managing processes and supervising teams; previous school experience desirable
- Good understanding of examination boards and procedures
