A leading London-based university is seeking a skilled and experienced Research Grants Officer to join their team on an interim basis. This role will focus on post-award financial management and support for research projects funded by the European Commission (EC) and other EU funding bodies.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive post-award financial support for EU/EC-funded research grants
- Monitor budgets, process financial claims, and ensure compliance with EC regulations
- Liaise with academic staff, funding bodies, and internal stakeholders to support the financial delivery of funded projects
- Prepare financial reports and audits in line with funder requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations, invoicing, and forecasting of project finances
Experience:
- Managing EC funded grants within a higher education setting
- Strong knowledge of EU funding rules
- Excellent financial administration skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Annual Salary: Β£40,000 - Β£51,000 (paid on an hourly rate equivalent)
Location: London (Remote working will be considered for exceptional candidates)
Contract: Interim β 3 months
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
