We are working with a Local Authority who are looking for 2x Quantity Surveyors to support the Design team in delivering a range of major projects across the region. Providing comprehensive quantity surveying services, offering a dynamic mix of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services and cost consultancy.
2x Project Quantity Surveyors
Start: ASAP
Rate: £350 p/d inside IR35
Hybrid Working Arrangement: Onsite 2 days per week ideally but can do some weeks with no onsite
Duration: 12-24 Months Interim Contract
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Works, Specifications, and contract documentation in line with project briefs, budgets, and regulations.
- Lead and manage designated projects, collaborating with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth delivery and compliance.
- Provide cost consultancy across diverse schemes, including feasibility studies, procurement strategy, and lifecycle cost analysis.
- Support service planning, respond to enquiries, and contribute to marketing efforts.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for committees and working groups to monitor progress and inform decision-making.
Requirements:
- Strong background in Quantity Surveying, ideally within a large public or private sector organisation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of relevant regulations, contract administration (NEC, JCT), and measurement standards.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying and MRICS accreditation.
