We are recruiting for a Project Manager – Infrastructure & Highways.
Day rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Start: February 2026
Duration: 6–12 months initially
Working pattern: Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of infrastructure projects from early feasibility through to construction
- Manage consultants, programmes, budgets, risks and reporting
- Support the design, procurement and delivery of minor highways and infrastructure schemes
- Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, including elected members and local communities
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, to programme, and within budget
- Provide clear updates and reports to senior officers and members
Essential experience:
- Previous Project Management experience within a local authority
- Infrastructure / highways project delivery background
- Design knowledge and early-stage project development experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement, including working with elected members
