We are recruiting for a Project Manager – Infrastructure & Highways.

Day rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)

Start: February 2026

Duration: 6–12 months initially

Working pattern: Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of infrastructure projects from early feasibility through to construction
  • Manage consultants, programmes, budgets, risks and reporting
  • Support the design, procurement and delivery of minor highways and infrastructure schemes
  • Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, including elected members and local communities
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, to programme, and within budget
  • Provide clear updates and reports to senior officers and members

Essential experience:

  • Previous Project Management experience within a local authority
  • Infrastructure / highways project delivery background
  • Design knowledge and early-stage project development experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, including working with elected members
