Finance Officer - Manchester (Hybrid) - NHS Contract
Venn Group's specialist finance recruitment team is recruiting for a Finance Officer on behalf of NHS Organisation in Manchester. This temporary opportunity offers the chance to support a high-profile team, providing vital finance support across invoice processing, reconciliations and backlog resolution activities.
The role
You will be responsible for:
- Processing high volumes of invoices accurately and within agreed timescales
- Completing reconciliations and investigating discrepancies across multiple finance systems
- Managing provider and supplier queries, ensuring timely resolution
- Performing finance system checks, data validation and quality assurance activities
- Supporting the resolution of legacy finance issues and backlogs
- Working closely with operational and finance colleagues across the organisation
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reporting requirements
About you
- Previous experience within a Finance Officer, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or similar finance role within an NHS organisation
- Experience of invoice processing, reconciliations and query resolution
- Ability to work across finance systems and manage large volumes of transactional data
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
