Job Description Maintenance Officer – Carpentry Bias
We're looking for a housing association to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Officer with a strong joinery and carpentry background to join their Property Services team on a permanent basis. You'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality repairs and maintenance service across their homes, hostels, and offices.
You'll work independently and as part of a small, supportive in-house team, carrying out day-to-day repairs, void works, and planned maintenance; always with customer service, safety, and quality at the forefront.
Salary: Β£32,000
Hours: 39 | Monday to Friday | No weekend working
Location: Luton and Dunstable
Contract: Permanent
Please note that a Company van, fuel card, company credit card and phone will be provided.
Key duties:

  • Hanging doors, fitting door frames, repairing UPVC windows and composite doors, replacing skirting boards, and fixing flooring
  • Kitchen and Bathroom Renovations; Fitting units, worktops, sanitaryware, and completing finishing works
  • Working in both occupied tenanted homes and void (empty) properties preparing for new tenants
  • Using a PDA, tablet, or mobile device to log jobs and reference Schedule of Rates (SORs)

The successful candidate will have:

  • Have proven experience as a multi-skilled tradesperson with strong carpentry skills
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
