Locum Planning Lawyer – Part-Time (Remote Working) – up to £60 per hour Umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a Local Authority in the Midlands who are seeking an experienced Planning Lawyer to join their team on a part-time locum basis.

Role Overview:

  • Focused solely on Planning Law
  • Advising Planning Officers on all aspects of planning legislation
  • Drafting Section 106 and Highways Agreements
  • Supporting and attending Planning Committees once per month in person

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Planning Law preferred
  • Proven ability to advise at senior level, including engagement with elected members and senior officers
  • Confident working autonomously and able to hit the ground running
  • Previous experience handling politically sensitive matters

Working Arrangements:

  • Approx. 20 hours per week (with some flexibility depending on workload)
  • Flexible working hours
  • Fully remote role, with the exception of monthly evening Planning Committee attendance
