Venn Group is working with an exceptional legal team in a local authority in the South East in their pursuit of a Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3-month period.
Requirements
- A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor or Barrister
- Specialism within all areas of Civil Litigation, including debt recovery and judicial review
- Evidence of practising Civil Litigation post-qualification
- Experience working within local authorities or for a relevant public sector organisation
- An adaptable approach to work, being able to react to a constantly changing environment
Duties / Responsibilities
- Providing legal advice in all areas of civil litigation
- Working in cases surrounding legal areas such as anti-social Behaviour Injunctions and Housing Judicial Review
- Providing legal advice to a small amount of criminal litigation roles
- Working a complex and full caseload
- Be willing to advocate in a county court as appropriate
- Mentoring and training less experienced team members
- Working resourcefully under tight deadlines
