Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Childcare SARS Officer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month assignment. The role offers a fully remote working arrangement and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Information Governance professional to support a busy team.
The Role
- Position: Locum Childcare SARS Officer
- Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension
- Rate: Up to £30 per hour umbrella
- Working Pattern: Full Time, Remote working
Duties will include
- Handling a backlog of Subject Access Requests (SARs)
- Managing requests primarily relating to childcare and social care matters
- Ensuring all Information Requests are managed and resolved within statutory timeframes
- Liaising with internal departments to obtain information and ensure timely responses
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working in an Information Governance role within a Public Sector or Local Authority setting
- Strong working knowledge of Data Protection legislation, FOI, and SAR processes
- Experience handling sensitive childcare and social care information
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
