We are recruiting for a Business Change Officer.
Contract: Until April 2026, with likely extension
Day Rate: Β£440 p/d (inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid β onsite at least once per week, increasing to 2β3 days
Weβre seeking an experienced Business Change Officer to support a major IT transformation within a local authority. This is a hands-on, people-focused change role, supporting stakeholders and teams as the organisation transitions to a modernised Oracle system.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the interface between the programme team and business stakeholders
- Support users through organisational and system change, ensuring adoption and engagement
- Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Identify change impacts and help teams adapt to new ways of working
- Support readiness activities leading up to and during go-live
- Attend onsite sessions regularly, increasing presence during go-live
- Communicate clearly, manage expectations, and address concerns throughout the change process
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build trust
- Experience in stakeholder engagement within business change or transformation projects
- Comfortable working in complex, high-profile public sector environments
- Adaptable, resilient, and effective during periods of uncertainty
- Management or supervisory experience
- IT-enabled change programme experience
- Public sector experience
