An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Senior Legal Officer to join the Childcare team of a Local Authority in South Wales on a full-time, 3-month initial basis. The ideal candidate for this role would be a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive; however, the opportunity is available for non-qualified (but thoroughly experienced) locums as well.
For this opportunity, you will need experience handling a caseload of childcare matters with previous Local Authority experience being essential.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload and preparing legal advice and guidance relevant to Childcare matters
- Drafting documentation such as Letters of Instruction, court orders, and position statements to ensure case progression
- Dealing with enquiries for legal advice efficiently to make sure that necessary assistance is provided
- Preparing cases and interviewing witnesses
- Providing support to the internal team and undertaking additional duties where required
A rate of up to £50 per hour via umbrella is offered for this position as well as the opportunity to work fully remote.
