Information Governance Manager – 6 months + – Full Time – Hybrid Working Venn Group is pleased to be assisting a Local Authority in the South West which is seeking to appoint an experienced Information Governance Manager to join its team. This is a full time position for an initial duration of 6 months . Hybrid working is required, with the successful candidate expected to attend the office two days per week. Previous experience within a statutory Data Protection position within a Local Government legal team is essential . Managerial experience is preferred . Duties and responsibilities may include: Contributing to the development of the Council’s Information Governance strategies, policies procedures and guidance Providing strategic data protection leadership for the council in order to ensure compliance with data protection legislation Encouraging, promoting, and motivating staff to engage in Information Governance, providing the appropriate support to staff to maintain and improve organisational performance. Managing a small team and advising on recruitment practices within the organisation Handling Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and Access to Records Requests and reporting performance to the Governance Committee A daily rate of up to £600 (depending on experience) is offered for this post.
