We’re supporting a London based University to recruit an Income and Reconciliation Officer. The role is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the Student Loan Company (SLC) and Student Award Agency Scotland (SAAS) financial data of the university, undertaking tasks relating to the invoicing, collection, reconciliation, and maintenance of the SLC/SAAS income. Job duties: Manage attendance and ledger reconciliations with SLC/SAAS, addressing discrepancies and minimising overdue payments or debts Manage weekly remittances, unallocated payments, and invoice resolutions, ensuring compliance with processes and timely follow-up Prepare regular and month-end reports, providing detailed explanations of financial movements Reconcile student assessments with records, liaising with relevant teams to resolve issues Develop expertise in SLC/SAAS procedures to provide effective advice and support Experience required: Demonstrable experience in managing and manipulating large volumes of data, providing accurate analysis Ability to summarise and explain complex financial matters to both finance and non-finance staff, including external stakeholders and auditors Experience of invoicing & collections in a consumer and business customer environment Advanced Excel skills Experience working in the Higher Education sector is highly desirable…
