Job profile:
- Support maternity, paternity, adoption and sickness absence processes, including monitoring entitlements and coordinating Occupational Health where needed.
- Manage end‑of‑employment processes such as resignation, retirement and redundancy, including exit interviews and documentation.
- Advise managers on disciplinary, grievance and capability cases and support investigations and hearings.
- Coordinate recruitment activity, including job description reviews, interview support, and ensuring timely completion of pre‑employment checks.
- Support Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) applications, liaising with the Home Office and advising managers where required.
- Contribute to job evaluation processes, organising and participating in panel assessments when needed.
- Produce accurate HR documentation throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistency with HR standards and timeframes.
- Contribute to HR projects, policy updates, process improvements and HR web page development.
Candidate profile:
- Experience providing HR advisory support in a large, complex organisation, ideally within a unionised environment.
- Strong experience across employee relations, absence management, recruitment and general HR lifecycle processes.
- Experience working with HR systems (ideally Oracle), including generating reports and management information.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations and communicate clearly at all levels.
- Strong written skills, including drafting HR correspondence and documentation in line with policy standards.
