Head of Data Engineering

The Head of Data Engineering role will have direct accountability for the organisation-wide analytics project to produce detailed and real-time management/performance information reports.
Rate: £500 – 750 per day DOE
Location: Remote
IR35 status: Inside
Contract length: 6 months
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of a new data warehouse to deliver analytics for the Research System Transformation Programme, operations, workforce, and finance initiative.
- The aim of the programme is to deliver a world-class regulatory system – a modern, data-driven, scalable research system essential to UK competitiveness, enhancing system-wide data sharing, increasing transparency, improving market intelligence, reducing unnecessary duplication, and providing greater value to the public.
- Collaborate with both producers and consumers to progress maturity in data understanding within the organisation and its data quality processes.
- Work closely with the Associate Director of IT Portfolio Management and Senior Enterprise Architect to ensure alignment with digital strategy.
The ideal candidate will have:
- NHS/Healthcare experience.
- Experience in implementing a data warehouse and a strong understanding of all aspects of the Microsoft BI stack.
