We are currently working with a Local Authority in Gloucestershire who is looking for a Public Health Outcome Manager to join the team to lead the initiation and delivery of programmes to meet Public Health’s objectives. The Outcome Manager will be responsible for delivering Mental Health initiatives and statutory commitments, working flexibly across a team ensuring policies are met across the Public Health Communities.
Duration: Until 1st May 2026
Rate: Up to £350 pd via Umbrella Company
Site presence: Minimum 2 days pw on-site
Role Details:
- Under the strategic direction of the Public Health and Communities Senior Leadership Team (SLT) you will take responsibility for the initiation, planning and delivery of programmes, projects, and policies to meet the strategic objectives of the Public Health and Communities Hub as outlined in the Hub’s Service Plan.
- Deliver a clear work programme to achieve agreed outcomes based on local needs and assets, evidence of what works and good practice.
- Demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, including through undertaking Equality Impact Assessments to enhance positive impacts on protected characteristics and health inequalities groups.
- Provide technical advice and support to stakeholders regarding the development, implementation, and evaluation of population health interventions.
Requirement:
- Knowledge of local authority context, including statutory framework and governance structures.
- Experience working at a senior management or leadership level in a commissioning environment within public health.
- Experience working within Public Mental Health.
- Background in project management and driving success through contract management.
