Venn Group is delighted to be working with a globally recognised broadcasting organisation to recruit a Financial Controller for a 6 month interim contract. This role involves leading a team of finance professionals, managing risk and control frameworks, liaising with UK and international auditors, and managing a programme of international site visits to review financial controls.

Key responsibilities of the role:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of financial controls across international operations to ensure compliance and operational integrity
- Manage the identification, escalation, and resolution of financial control risks and issues, ensuring timely and effective mitigation strategies
- Coordinate and lead international site visits to assess financial control environments, conduct audit and oversight programmes, and produce detailed review reports
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, and conduct regular remote oversight meetings with international offices to review financial control documentation and evidence
- Support organisational risk management processes, working closely with senior leadership and central financial control teams
- Drive improvements in financial systems and processes, including accounting platforms, to enhance automation and control effectiveness
- Contribute to strategic finance initiatives, including the setup and transformation of international entities and the approval of financial policies, delegated authorities, and best practice templates
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
Ideal candidate profile:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Extensive experience in designing, operating, and reviewing financial control frameworks
- Strong background in audit or financial governance, including risk oversight
- Proven leadership skills, including managing and developing finance teams
