Fixed term contract Vacancy – Finance Business Partner – Capital
Location : King\’s Lynn, PE30 (Hybrid)
Hours : Full time
As a Capital Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and reporting on capital expenditure. You’ll ensure compliance with financial guidance, maintain accurate records of capital assets, and support strategic investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the capital programme, including monitoring capital budgets and expenditure.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate accounting for asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Prepare capital forecasts, monthly reports, and year-end capital accounting schedules.
- Liaise with project managers, estates teams, and external auditors to ensure robust financial governance.
- Ensure compliance with capital accounting policies and statutory requirements.
- Support business cases for capital investment and provide financial insight for decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent).
- Experience in capital accounting, ideally within the public sector.
Due to the nature of the vacancy, we are looking for candidates with short notice periods.
