Our client is looking for an experienced interim Head of Service or Service Manager to provide leadership to the Learning Disability team at a Midlands based Local Authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day leadership and direction for the Learning Disability service.
- Overseeing financial management, practice standards, and service protocols.
- Working closely with the Transitions Lead on SEND and Preparing for Adulthood initiatives.
- Supporting a wider remit beyond Learning Disability, offering leadership across the service as required.
- Ensuring the team delivers high-quality outcomes for service users and their families and strengthening team leadership and confidence.
Candidate Criteria:
- Extensive experience in adult social care, ideally with a Learning Disability specialism.
- Social work qualification preferred, but exceptional candidates without this will also be considered.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams through change or transitions.
- Strong understanding of SEND, Preparing for Adulthood, and transitions.
