Locum Adult Social Care (and Education) Solicitor – Berkshire – Up to £65 per hour umbrella – Fully remote
Are you a passionate Adult Social Care Solicitor looking to make a real difference? Venn Group is working with a fantastic local authority in London in their search for an Adult Social Care Solicitor on a locum basis for an initial 3‑month period, with the potential for extension depending on performance and project needs.
Requirements:
- Qualified Lawyer, with a valid practising certificate in the UK
- Specialism within Adult Social Care Law and experience practising this post‑qualification
- Experience advocating complex Adult Social Care cases in court
- Experience working Education cases, and attending SEN tribunals
- Experience working within local authorities, or for a public sector organisation
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Advising the clients of the organisation on all aspects of Adult Social Care Law and providing representation when necessary
- Advising on areas of Education
- Attending and advocating complex cases in court
- Attending virtual education tribunals
- Advising officers and members in a proactive and sensitive manner
- Mentoring and training less experienced team members
- Deputising for heads of legal and other principal lawyers when necessary
