We are seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to oversee the delivery of AI, Innovation, and Automation projects within the BI programme. This role requires a strong technical background combined with expertise in project management and programme delivery. The ideal candidate will be able to understand the complexities of AI projects while also having hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing project delivery within a technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of AI and AI Automation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely, within-budget delivery.
- Manage project scope, objectives, and timelines, while collaborating with technical teams to understand the complexities of the technology.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
- Oversee and report on project forecasting, budgeting, and status, utilizing dashboards and management tools to provide stakeholders with timely updates.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple projects, ensuring effective resolution.
- Ensure compliance with internal assessment and approval processes, ensuring proper governance is maintained throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong understanding of AI, Automation, and DevOps practices.
- Must be technical enough to understand the underlying infrastructure and applications.
- Extensive experience in project management, particularly in the delivery of complex AI and Automation projects.
- Proven ability to manage programme elements such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting (including dashboard creation).
- Strong understanding of the technologies involved, including infrastructure, applications, and integration across AI systems.
- A hands-on approach to project delivery, with a strong track record of getting projects over the line within a regulated financial services environment.
- Familiarity with automation processes, DevOps principles, and tools.
