Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer – Full Time – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £50 per hour Umbrella – Midlands

Position: Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer

Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority

Duration: 3 months +

Working Hours: Ideally Full Time but Part Time candidates (3-4 days per week) may still be considered who possess the relevant experience

Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote Working with occasional Court Attendance required

Hourly Rate: £50 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced professional with a solid background in Civil Litigation Law, ideally gained within a Local Authority or Private Practice background. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, with a particular advantage for those bringing knowledge of Property Litigation.

Duties may include:

• Draft, review, and negotiate Contracts

• Experience in property litigation including dealing with landlord and tenant disputes, forfeiture claims, trespass/encroachment claims, and dilapidations

• Manage Civil Litigation cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation

• Ensure compliance with the Civil Litigation Pre-Action Protocol

• Ensure compliance with GDPR by overseeing data protection policies and practices

• Represent the Council in Court and conduct advocacy where appropriate in mainly remote hearings with some Court attendance required

This position has an attractive rate up to £50 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience.
