An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Change Manager to be part of a team supporting the first major merger within the Higher Education sector in a number of years. The post holder support and lead initiatives related to the integration – focussing on organisation design and supporting operating models.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Lead the delivery of change initiatives across a strategic portfolio, ensuring effective planning and execution
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including Professional Service Directors and Workstream Leads
  • Design and deliver training and coaching to build change capability and support staff through transition
  • Drive organisation design activities, including operating model reviews for the newly combined institution
  • Support cultural change initiatives to align behaviours and mindsets with the future vision
  • Identify and manage risks and resistance to change with targeted, proactive plans

Candidate profile:

  • Relevant professional qualification in Change Management
  • Proven experience leading change and business improvements within Higher Education, the NHS, or wider public sector
  • Strong understanding of organisational change approaches and organisational design principles
  • Hands-on experience across the full change lifecycle, from diagnostics to implementation
  • Skilled at engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels

Annual salary: £51,000 – £61,000

Contract type: Fixed Term for 12 months

Working hours: Full time

Location: Central London (hybrid working)

Additional benefits:

  • 30 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays + 3 University closure (41 per annum)
