Duration: 3-month contract

Location: Birmingham (on-site)

Pay rate: £20 - £28 hourly via Umbrella (inclusive of holiday pay)

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday (9-5)

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop an inclusive support service for disabled and chronically ill students
  • Lead on disability-related policies, closing attainment gaps and improving graduate outcomes
  • Provide specialist advice to students on support needs, funding and accessibility processes
  • Coordinate pre-entry guidance and participate in events for prospective disabled students
  • Line manage staff and oversee delivery of disability and inclusion support services
  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to enable effective, anticipatory provision
  • Maintain accurate data, monitor service impact and contribute to institutional reporting
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, risk assessments, and sector-wide best practice

Required experience:

  • Significant experience of working in a disability support context within Higher Education
  • Good understanding of the responsibilities placed on Higher Education Institutions by the Equality Act
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the funding and statutory support mechanisms for students with disabilities
