Venn Group is working with a brilliant local authority in London in their search for a Contract and Procurement with Construction Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3 month period.

Requirements:

  • A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor, Barrister or a Fellow of CILEX
  • Specialism within Contracts, Procurement and Construction Law and evidence of practising this post-qualification
  • Experience working within local authorities, or for a public sector organisation

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of law and legislation relating to Contracts, Procurement and Construction
  • Provide legal advice and prepare complex and straightforward documentation relating to contractual matters
  • Manage a caseload of varying complexity, including construction matters
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and laws
  • Draft contracts including JCTs and NECs
