A Legal 500–recognised firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Partner or Director to join its established Nottingham practice. This opportunity would suit a senior private client lawyer looking for a high-quality role with genuine flexibility, a sensible approach to workload, and the ability to operate at a senior level without unsustainable pressure. The Role

You will handle a broad and varied private client caseload, including:

  • Wills and estate planning
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Court of Protection matters
  • Inheritance Tax and succession planning

The role can be shaped around the individual, with autonomy over caseload, working patterns and office presence. There is no expectation of excessive hours, and the firm is committed to sustainable working practices at senior level.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Senior Private Client Solicitor operating at Partner or Director level, or ready to step up.
  • Strong all-round private client experience, including Probate, Wills, IHT and Court of Protection.
  • Commercial, personable and client-focused.
  • Looking for a long-term role offering flexibility and balance.
  • STEP qualification desirable but not essential.

  • Four-day working week available (with compressed hours if preferred).
  • Hybrid working supported, with 1–2 days per week in the office.
